How to bet in Ethiopia in 2026 is a sequence, not a pile of five links. Step 0: accept what 15 December 2025 did

ELS revoked sports-betting licences as a class. Online, agents, shops. New bets were to stop. Deposit gateways were to stop. Banks and payment firms were told to block or suspend betting money. If you need a licensed local sportsbook, stop at step 0. There is not one on this grid. If you continue, you are dealing with offshore cashiers and with wallets that may refuse you. That continuation is optional. It is not a recommendation.

Step 1: age, money you can lose, no chasing

Step 3: what to check on the cashier screen before you send birr

Do this on the cashier, not on a screenshot in a Telegram group.

• Brand name matches the site you opened.
• The rail name is printed: Telebirr, CBE Birr / CBEBirr, M-Pesa / Mpesa, or a bank name. If you wanted wallet and you tapped bank, go back.
• Minimum and maximum as printed. If blank, do not paste 100 or 200 from memory unless that cashier is the one those numbers came from (partner cashier we checked vs Megapari guide).
• Currency is ETB if that is what you hold.
• Any bonus banner: ignore it on this site. We do not publish partner bonuses. If Megapari or Telebet show a promo, read their own terms. We are not those terms.

If the methods page is empty until you log in, you are looking at 1xBet or Paripesa: their payments page is empty until you log in. You can still log in if you want; we will not fill the card for you.

Step 4: send a small test only if the rail accepts betting merchants

If Telebirr / CBE / M-Pesa / the bank returns an error on a betting merchant, stop. That is the end of the how-to. We will not list alternate merchants, cash agents, or "friends who deposit for you."

If it accepts, send an amount at or above the printed floor and no larger than you can lose. Wait for credit. Do not send a second payment because the first is slow. Check the cashier history.
